Oakland’s next generation of changemakers starts here. The Lifers Youth Advisory Council (YAC) launches in Q4 of 2025, bringing together passionate young leaders ready to shape the city’s environmental future.

If you’re 15–24 years old, this is your chance to make an impact that matters. As a YAC member, you’ll help plan the 2026 Lifers Youth Environmental Awareness Summit, meet other driven youth, and guide how Lifers tackles environmental justice issues across Oakland.
