Volunteer Opportunities

Tree Planting
Join our 1000 Tree Legacy Project and help us green the city! Each tree planted is a gift to the earth and a legacy for the community. We’re planting in areas near the Port, in heat-vulnerable zones, and in brown spaces across Oakland.

Community Clean-Ups
Be part of a boots-on-the-ground team cleaning up our streets, removing trash, and helping Oakland breathe again. These events are energizing, purposeful, and help restore community pride.

Event Volunteers
From block parties to educational pop-ups and environmental rallies, we need hands to help set up, greet neighbors, pass out materials, and keep things running smoothly.

Outreach Specialist
Help us spread the word! Whether tabling at events, canvassing in the community, or representing Lifers at local gatherings, outreach volunteers are the heartbeat of our public engagement.

Lend Your Expertise
