Community Science

Workshop Series

The challenges affecting our communities—from air quality and illegal dumping to neighborhood conditions and community health—cannot be solved by a few organizations alone. Lasting solutions require informed residents, engaged stakeholders, and opportunities for people to learn, participate, and take action together.

That's why Lifers Leaving a Legacy created the Community Workshop Series.

Powered by support from the California Air Resources Board (CARB), this ongoing series brings residents, youth, community leaders, researchers, public agencies, and community partners together to explore the issues affecting Oakland and identify practical solutions that improve quality of life.

Through interactive workshops, community science activities, presentations, demonstrations, and discussions, participants gain access to information, tools, and opportunities that help transform awareness into action.
