Introduction to Hazardous Materials

Hazardous materials aren’t just found in controlled environments.
They show up in places where people live, work, and move every day.

In communities like Oakland, illegal dumping has created environments where unknown substances, waste materials, and chemical hazards can exist without clear identification.

That means awareness isn’t optional—it’s essential.
